April 22 is Earth Day, a day designed to increase awareness of
the
issues affecting the environment, to inspire positive actions in
individuals and business, and to begin the process of reversing the
current climate change trend.
“These easy-to-resource and easy-to-use lessons have been created
for Y1-Y6 by teachers for teachers. They follow the inquiry-based
learning structure that challenges
children to answer relevant questions about their planet and really
motivate them to show what they have learned in a practical real-world
way.
There are two one-hour lessons for each year group that are designed to
cover a variety of objectives across the national curriculum.
They are fun for both teachers and students and because the themes are
real issues facing our children, they will stimulate discussion and you
won't be able to stop your children from wanting to save our planet!”
